He previously served as general counsel of the U.S. Treasury Department, where he played a significant role in the development of the Reagan administration's proposals for the deregulation of the financial services industry. Mr. Varroney is the Chief Operating Officer of American Solutions, a citizen action network founded and chaired by former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.
