Circuit City Stores, Inc. Promotes Three Executives

RICHMOND, Va., Feb. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Circuit City
Stores, Inc. today announced that effective March 1, 2006, George
D. Clark, Jr., has been promoted to executive vice president,
president - retail stores, Fiona P. Dias has been promoted to
executive vice president, chief marketing officer, and Douglas T.
Moore has been promoted to executive vice president, chief
merchandising officer. "The promotions of Danny, Fiona, and Doug to
executive vice president reflects the strength of our leadership
team as we begin fiscal year 2007," said Phil Schoonover, president
of Circuit City Stores, Inc. "As chief executive officer, I will
look to them to continue to drive key business objectives such as
leading our cultural transformation at retail, enhancing our
merchandising performance and improving our multi-channel
advertising effectiveness as part our efforts to build a new
Circuit City." Clark, 46, joined the company in 1983. He was
promoted to store manager in 1987, district manager in 1992 and
regional vice president in 1993. Clark was named assistant vice
president in 1995; vice president and Central Division president in
1997; Eastern Division president in 2002 and senior vice president
in 2003. He was named general merchandise manager for technology in
2004. In 2005, Clark was promoted to president - retail stores.
Dias, 40, joined Circuit City in 2000 as senior vice president -
marketing. She was named president of Circuit City Direct in 2003
and chief marketing officer in 2005. Before joining the company,
she was chief marketing officer at Stick Networks, Inc., a wireless
software company, during 2000; vice president - marketing and
development for the Frito-Lay Company, from 1999 to 2000; and vice
president of corporate development at Pennzoil Quaker State
Company, from 1996 to 1999. Prior to 1996, she held various brand
management positions with The Procter and Gamble Company. Moore,
49, joined the company in 1990 as a regional manager for the
roadshop division. He was named regional vice president in 1995 and
became assistant vice president of corporate operations in 1997.
Moore was named general manager, builder appliance sales division
in 1998; senior national buyer in 1999; divisional merchandising
manager - imaging in 2000; and director of merchandising operations
in 2002. In 2003, he became Western Division president and senior
vice president. In 2004, Moore was named senior vice president,
merchandising and chief merchandising officer in 2005. About
