Centex Board Increases Share Repurchase Authorization DALLAS, Feb. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Centex Corporation today announced that the board of directors has increased the company's share repurchase authorization of its common stock to 2,000,000 shares. Purchases will be made from time-to-time in the open market, principally to minimize the dilutive effect of stock option exercises.
