Marsh to Offer Special Holiday Telephone Ordering Service INDIANAPOLIS, Nov. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- As a special service to its holiday customers, Marsh Supermarkets Inc. (NASDAQ:MARSANASDAQ:MARSB) is now offering a special telephone service for ordering party and deli trays, fruit baskets, bakery goods, floral arrangements and gift cards for pickup at any Marsh location. The service, which is being launched today, will continue to be available throughout the year through the company's Customer Service Call Center Department. It is a complimentary service for Marsh customers, according to Don E. Marsh, chairman and CEO. To use the telephone ordering service, customers should dial 1-866-MARSH 4 U. Each transaction will be assigned a unique order number by the call center order entry system. Customers will then go to the Marsh Customer Service Desk at the Marsh store they requested on a designated date to pick up their orders and make payment on delivery. The telephone hotline will be operative Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. Customers will have a wide-ranging menu of food options for the special service. Phone orders will not be available on Sundays. The standard lead-time for filling an order will be four hours. Meanwhile, all Marsh stores will host a "Taste of the Holidays" open house on Saturday, November 6, to demonstrate their special holiday products and take-out orders for holiday pickups. The holiday open house will be staged from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. that day. "Holidays can be a hectic time especially for anyone who prepares meals," said Mr. Marsh. "Our objective is to make the shopping process as easy as possible and to help customers save more time for their families."
