The TR1000 for MSS allows speech application developers to focus on application design by presenting an abstraction layer for the underlying telephony protocols that allow the Brooktrout Telephony Interface Manager (TIM) to manage all the telephony resources. The TIM controls communication between the TR1000 and telephone network, streams media for recognition and speech output, performs DTMF detection and processes all the call control. In addition Brooktrout will display its recently announced TruFax(R) 250 and TruFax 450 BRI intelligent fax boards that now include MMR compression and Error Correction Mode (ECM), giving customers even greater fax reliability and connectivity. The TruFax boards are Microsoft(R) Windows(R) plug and play compliant.
