the period to 30 June 2007. The financial information set out in this

CHAIRMAN'S STATEMENT



These unaudited accounts cover the period 10 August 2006 to 30 June 2007.
Verdant Holdings plc ('Verdant') came to AIM on 22nd December 2006, raising
#3.1m gross. Verdant's strategy is to invest in the environmental industry. On
admission to AIM, Verdant had no trading business, but its publicly traded
status and cash reserves have given the Company a platform to analyse a large
number of potential acquisition targets within the green sector. Areas the
Verdant are considering include pollution reduction and remediation, waste
management, renewable energy, energy efficiency technologies and carbon trading.



The company had net assets of #3,054,0000, including cash of #3,101,000 as at 30
June 2007, having made a loss before tax of #47,000 for the period.



Since floatation, a number of opportunities have been considered within these
sectors, and the Directors are optimistic that an acquisition will be completed
in the near future. I look forward to announcing progress shortly.
