Property Asset Holdings plc was today notified that in accordance with the 
provisions of the above Act that 2,833,333 ordinary shares of 0.1p each in
Property Asset Holdings were purchased on 5 June 1998 by:

GRE Nominees Limited = 2,833,333

The holdings of Guardian Royal Exchange plc and its subsidiary companies in
Property Asset Holdings PLC, are set out below:

Bruton Nominees Limited              = 5,000,000
GRE Nominees Limited                 = 2,833,333
Guardian Pensions Management Limited = 1,166,667
                                       9,000,000 total

This represents a total holding of 6.6% of the issued share capital.
