Domtar Corporation announces delay in filing of its first quarter results

/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Domtar Corporation (NYSE/TSX: UFS) today
announced its intention to file with the Securities and Exchange
Commission a Form 12b-25 notification of a delay in filing its Form
10-Q for the quarter ended April 1, 2007. Due to the complexities
involved in preparing the consolidated financial statements
reflecting the combination of the Weyerhaeuser Fine Paper Business
and related assets and Domtar Inc. as of March 7, 2007, the Company
requires additional time to complete its interim report for the
quarter ended April 1, 2007. "Our finance team has worked through
the difficulties of bringing together two sets of financial
information on a transaction that closed late in the quarter. These
few extra days will allow us to assure the highest quality in our
financial reporting" stated Daniel Buron, Senior Vice-President and
Chief Financial Officer. The Company intends to file its Form 10-Q
