SunCom Wireless provides GSM-based wireless services in the Southeastern United States and the Caribbean to nearly one million subscribers. Syniverse will provide SunCom with its ACCESS S&E(R) clearing and settlement service, which simplifies the exchange of billing data between roaming partners by Syniverse acting as the single point of contact. This results in streamlined processing of roamer billing data, a single source of information regarding roaming customers and detailed reporting to calculate the financial position between roaming partners. Syniverse also supplies SS7 network and wireless local number portability services to SunCom.
