At today's Annual General Meeting, Chairman, Chris Jones, reported as follows:


"Total sales for the first quarter to 30th April 2003 were 1.9% ahead of last
year and, on a like for like basis, excluding our new store at Huddersfield
(which opened in March last year), sales in the first quarter were 1.1% ahead."
