 Chris Bunker appointed an independent non-executive director of Travis Perkins


Chris Bunker, 57, a chartered accountant and presently finance director of the
Thames Water division of RWE AG, has been appointed an independent non-executive
director of Travis Perkins plc.  He is also a non-executive director of Mowlem
plc and D.S.Smith Plc.


Mr Bunker was previously finance director of Tarmac plc and Westland Group plc.
It is intended that in due course he will become chairman of the Travis Perkins
Audit Committee.
