Compact Power Holdings Plc ("Compact Power")


Trading in Compact Power's shares on AIM is being suspended with immediate
effect as the Company will not be publishing its annual accounts for the 31
March 2007 by the end of the month in accordance with AIM Rule 19.  The Company
is currently in negotiations to secure further funding for the Company and its
proposed new plant at Avonmouth.  Once terms are agreed this funding will be
conditional upon, inter alia, shareholders' approval.  The current intention is
that the annual results for the year ended 31 March 2007 will be announced and
published simultaneous with a circular to shareholders that will set out the
details of the proposed funding and will seek shareholders' approval to it.  It
is currently anticipated that the circular and results will be published within
the next month.
