The Company was informed on 12 August 2003 that a client of ISIS Asset
Management Plc, Active Capital, has an interest in18,700,000 ordinary shares of
1p each in the capital of the Company representing 8.83 per cent. of the issued
share capital of the Company.

The Company was also informed on 12 August 2003 that the Marlborough Special
Situations Fund has an interest in 8,500,000 ordinary shares of 1p each in the
capital of the Company representing 4.02 per cent. of the issued share capital
of the Company. These shares are held by HSBC Global Custody Nominees Limited a/
c 764685.
