Sunflower Bank, N.A. has announced the public nomination period
for its 2024 Community Partner Awards. The Community Partner Awards
were created in 2023 to provide grants to outstanding organizations
in Sunflower Bank, First National 1870 and Guardian Mortgage
communities. From July 30 to August 23, 2024, the public has the
opportunity to nominate local community partners in qualified
counties of Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Texas, and
Washington for an award.
The Community Partner Awards are led by the bank’s Community
Affairs Office and includes participation from employees,
individual community members, and local organizations. This year,
Sunflower Bank, N.A. will again donate a total of $80,000 through
nineteen Community Partner Award grants of $2,000 to $15,000. Check
donation presentations will be held throughout the months of
November and December.
Community Partner Award winners are chosen from nominees
that:
- Demonstrate exceptional focus on community enhancement through
their work; or
- Support one of the bank’s main impact areas: affordable
housing, economic development, financial education, or community
services; or
- Help make stronger communities that are diverse, equitable,
inclusive, and modeled to create opportunities for all.
During the nomination period, community members and Sunflower
Bank, N.A. employees can nominate organizations for award
consideration. Organizations receiving the greatest number of
nominations in each market will be considered for one of four
awards. More information about each award and how to submit
nominations is available on the Sunflower Bank Community Partner
Awards page.
