SCORE Sports, a leading designer, manufacturer, and seller of
sports uniforms, apparel, and equipment, today announced that it
has named Joe Flannery as Chief Executive Officer. Current
President and CEO Kevin Mahoney will remain with the company for a
transition period to ensure continuity.
Most recently, Flannery was Executive Vice President at Topgolf
Callaway Brands (NYSE: MODG), a global leader of golf, lifestyle,
and entertainment brands, where he was responsible for the
company’s global apparel and softgoods businesses. In a
distinguished career spanning three decades, he has also held
executive positions at prominent branded consumer companies,
including Adidas, Nike/Nike Bauer Hockey, The North Face, Newell
Brands, and Canadian Mountain Holidays.
“Throughout his noteworthy career in the sports & apparel
industry, Joe has developed a reputation of consistently delivering
outstanding results for the businesses he has led and the
communities those businesses serve,” said Austin Ramos, Chairman of
the Board of SCORE Sports. “We are thrilled to now have him on our
team as we look to maintain SCORE’s accelerated growth, while
continuing to drive the company’s mission of positively impacting
young athletes across the country.”
Ramos continued, “We want to thank Kevin for his leadership
during his tenure at SCORE. He was hired by the founders in 2019 to
successfully transition their business, and family legacy, to a new
ownership group, ultimately finding a trusted steward in Brand
Velocity Group. He maintained the business during the devastating
global pandemic, and in the years since, has grown the company’s
revenue to heights it has never previously reached. We appreciate
his continued care for the SCORE family and wish him great success
in his future endeavors.”
Flannery joins at a time of great momentum for the company,
having recently announced its new corporate headquarters in
Torrance, California, as well as partnerships with Babe Ruth League
Softball and GoFundMe.
“I am incredibly inspired by SCORE’s impressive legacy, and look
forward to building upon its mission-driven approach to serving its
customers and communities as we take the business and its impact to
the next level,” said Flannery. “I am grateful to Kevin and the
rest of the SCORE team for positioning the company for continued
growth and success.”
Mr. Mahoney added, “I joined SCORE in 2019 to prepare the
company for new ownership, transition it through that process, and
further accelerate our ability to positively influence communities
across the country. I’m proud of what we as a team accomplished,
and thank each SCORE team member for their continued hard work and
dedication. I look forward to seeing the exciting things SCORE will
accomplish from here.”
