RMC Group response to press speculation

RMC Group p.l.c. notes the press speculation about its German operations.

RMC confirms that it has received an unsolicited approach from HeidelbergCement
AG regarding the acquisition of its German operations.  This approach is at an
exploratory stage and there is no certainty that it will lead to a sale.  RMC is
assessing this approach along with other options in relation to its German
operations.
