Departure of Chairman of the Board of Directors
On July 10, 2019, Robert F. Heinemann resigned as Chairman of the Board of Directors (the Board) and as a director of
Chaparral Energy, Inc. (the Company) effective July 10, 2019. Mr. Heinemann resigned solely for personal reasons and did not resign as a result of any disagreement with the Company on any matter relating to its operations,
policies or practices.
The Board will commence a search for an additional director to fill the vacancy resulting from
Mr. Heinemanns resignation.
