DIRECTORS SHARE OPTIONS

Capital and Regional Properties plc today makes the following announcements in
respect of changes in the number of share options held by Directors.

Following the adoption of the Capital and Regional Properties Unapproved
Discretionary Share Option Scheme 1998 at the Company's Annual General Meeting
held on 7th May 1998, options have been granted to Directors and employees on
15th May 1998 to subscribe for a total of 650,000 and 506,500 Ordinary Shares
respectively at #2.795 per share. Details of options granted to executive
directors are included in the table below.
