Excel Airways Group plc ("the Company")

The Company announces that it received notification today that Libra Holidays
Group Limited ("Libra"), its majority shareholder, has sold 2,090,434 ordinary
shares at a price of #1.45 per share. As a result of this sale, Libra now has a
notifiable interest in 76,339,566 ordinary shares representing approximately
79.5% of the entire issued share capital of the Company.
