INFORMATION CONTAINED IN THIS REPORT ON FORM 6-K

Box Ships Inc. (the "Company") has sold two of the Company’s vessels, the Box Hong Kong and the Box China, for demolition purposes, to unrelated third parties. The vessels Box Hong Kong and Box China were delivered to their new owners on August 9, 2016 and August 11, 2016, respectively.
