Riverbed Technology (NASDAQ: RVBD), the IT performance company, today announced its participation at the Cloud Connect Conference taking place March 7-12, 2011, at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA. The Cloud Connect Conference helps business technology executives, IT professionals and developers better understand the transformation and promises of cloud computing. During the conference, at TechWeb's Cloud Performance Summit, Riverbed® technical leader Steve Riley will share tools and techniques for cloud performance optimization for globally connected enterprises, as well as thoughts on how to obtain the appropriate service level agreement (SLA) in the cloud for the enterprise.

In this session, Steve will look at the technologies that can improve performance, increase capacity, and make systems more resilient.

"The State of Cloud SLAs" Cloud architects suggest that cloud applications should be built for failure. But if enterprises build applications using resilient architectures, enterprises can achieve high availability without an SLA. However, enterprises still demand a service level commitment from cloud providers. In this session, cloud providers will discuss the terms and conditions with which they're comfortable, and explain why the best SLA may be one that enterprises write themselves.
