Riverbed Technology (NASDAQ: RVBD), the IT performance company, announced today that its Riverbed® Steelhead® appliances have been named the "2010 Best Product for Network Application Acceleration" by NetAdmin World Magazine, a monthly magazine focused on technology solutions for network managers, and the "Most Innovative Solution for Network Optimization in 2010" by China Network World, a weekly magazine focused on Internet technology. Riverbed wide area network (WAN) optimization allows globally connected enterprises to overcome performance issues caused by distance, distributed computing, and ever increasing amounts of data.

Survey Says: Steelhead Appliance is the 2010 Best Product for Network Application Acceleration NetAdmin World Magazine presented Riverbed with the "2010 Best Product for Network Application Acceleration" award at the annual 2010 China Network Management Technology Conference after an extensive 3-month survey. The results, polled from network administrators from the China Computer Users Association, information centers of various ministries and local government departments, businesses, and university network centers, identified Riverbed Steelhead appliances as the leading innovative solutions for network application acceleration.

Most Innovative Solution for Network Optimization in 2010 China Network World's awards are designed to showcase the major enterprise-class IT products and solutions of the year that have made significant, innovative technological changes or performance improvements. Besides recognizing enterprise leadership in different fields, these awards also serve as a key reference for businesses and enterprises interested in choosing the right products and solutions for their needs.

China Network World summarized the reasons for Steelhead appliances being awarded the "Most Innovative Solution for Network Optimization in 2010," noting in particular that, as many organizations look to consolidate their IT infrastructure as a way to simplify management, increase resource utilization and reduce operation and maintenance costs, Steelhead appliances greatly enhance application performance in even the most demanding networks.
