                              Directorate Changes


LONDON: 15 September 2005 - Trans-Siberian Gold plc ("TSG" or "the Company") is
pleased to announce the appointment of Ben Guenther as a nominated director
representing AngloGold Ashanti, in place of Gordon Wylie.

Ben Guenther (53) graduated from the Colorado School of Mines as a mining
engineer in 1974. Until 1986, he held various managerial positions at mining
operations in the USA owned or operated by Hanna Mining Company. From 1987 to
1994 he was general manager at the Cannon Mine of Asamera Minerals in the USA.
He then joined AngloGold (now AngloGold Ashanti) as senior vice president
general manager of Jerritt Canyon mine in Nevada, USA and in 2000 was seconded
to AngloGold's corporate office in Johannesburg as head of mining.  In 2001, he
assumed some responsibilities for safety and health, as well as heading up the
corporate technical group. He was appointed an executive officer of AngloGold
Ashanti in May 2004.

TSG also announces the resignation, for personal reasons, of Nirmal Sethia who
has been a non-executive director of the Company since March 2001.

Jeremy Marshall, Chairman of TSG comments: "We are delighted to welcome Ben
Guenther to the TSG Board and appreciate the contribution that Gordon Wylie has
made to our deliberations over the past year. We are sorry that Nirmal Sethia
has decided to resign from the Board and express our thanks to him for his
valuable contribution to the development of the Company during the last four and
a half years."
