                           Response To Press Comments

KazakhGold Group Limited  (LSE: KZG) notes that two news articles that appeared
today on Interfax and Bloomberg contained incorrect references to remarks made
to plans by the company to issue equity capital.  KazakhGold wishes to clarify
that it has no existing plans to issue any new equity.

The remarks were made at a Fitch conference in Almaty concerning capital raising
alternatives for Kazakhstani companies.  As a listed company KazakhGold has
ongoing access to both the equity and debt capital markets.  These remarks were
general in nature, and did not relate to any specific plans of KazakhGold.
