                       ("Griffin Group" or the "Company")

The Board of Griffin Group was notified on 10 May April 2004, that on 7 May 2004
Dr Mohamed Musa Al Yousef purchased 1,750,000 Ordinary Shares of 5p each in the
Company (the "Ordinary Shares"), through his investment vehicle Nile Investments
Limited, a Jersey-based company. The purchase, which constitutes his total
holding in the issued share capital of the Company, represents a percentage
holding of 4.4%.

The ultimate holding company of Nile Investments Limited is Nile Securities,
which is based in Oman and quoted on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
