Update re Preliminary Results


The Food & Drink Group plc will announce its preliminary results for the
financial year ending 29 September 2007 on Thursday 17th of January 2008, a
little later than originally anticipated. The delay in announcement of the
results from our original timetable has been caused by the sudden and unexpected
need for our Finance Director, Urvashi Parekh, to take compassionate leave.


In order to remove any uncertainty or gap in our management team during her
absence, we have engaged an appropriate level of interim finance support. As
previously reported in our last trading update, the Group expects to announce
performance in line with market expectations.
