SKIPTON BUILDING SOCIETY APPOINTS NEW COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR

Skipton Building Society today announces the appointment of Ian Cornelius to its new Executive Director post of Commercial Director, reporting to the Group Chief Executive. Ian will take up his post from 11 June, and his appointment is subject to FSA approval.

Currently interim Commercial Director at Skipton's mortgage servicing subsidiary, HML, Ian has extensive experience in the retail banking sector, having held senior commercial positions at Virgin Money Group, Bradford & Bingley PLC and Capital One Bank.
