circular to shareholders dated 1 September 2000 the weighted average traded
price of Genbel shares on the JSE during the four-day period ending Thursday
14 September 2000 is Rand 19.000743.

For shareholders electing to receive the dividend of 70 cents per ordinary
share, the rate of exchange to be applied shall be #1sterling=10.0572Rand.
