Tarpon Industries Awarded ISO 9001: 2000 Certification

Tarpon Industries, Inc. (AMEX:TPO), a manufacturer and distributor
of engineered steel storage rack systems and structural and
mechanical steel tubing, today announced that its Canadian
Manufacturing Division, Steelbank Tubular, has been certified and
registered as compliant with the International Standards
Organization (ISO) 9001:2000 international quality standard. This
registration recognizes Steel bank�s commitment to product quality
and excellence in customer service, engineering, and manufacturing
processes. The ISO approval was recommended by Quasar, which
managed the audit of the Steelbank facility. QUASAR is a Division
of the CWB Group and is accredited by the Standards Council of
Canada (SCC) as a Quality System Registrar. The CWB, a sister
division to QUASAR was formed in 1947 and is accredited by the SCC
as a Certification Organization and a Testing Organization. QUASAR
offers service from�six offices across Canada. "Tarpon has always
