And once again the company claims to have had a great quarter and once again "the market" disagrees. I haven't been through the report. The corrections are imho likely related to the same problem - operating costs. 

Dear Guidewire,
Please jettison the current crop of c-level powerpoint jockeys and replace them with people that understand leadership and that a leader always knows. No c-level person should stand up in front of employees and say “I don’t know.” I can’t say the lack of leadership is all that surprising given the CEO’s in ability to inspire and lead. They all probably make great mid-level managers. They’ve just somehow confused blind luck with skill.

Note that it is a smoking gun but there were multiple T trades. I need to pull the trades for the last couple of months and see if there is a correlation.

Maybe I'll put these together for the C-suite on an annual basis.

$GWRE revised the offering and increased the target to $600 million. That's a +20% difference. Do these people know what they're doing?

Wow! -52% from the 52 week high. Marcus and the BoD chose poorly. What an unmitigated disaster. Maybe we can finally stop promulgating the fantasy that all you need is an MBA. Maybe . . . maybe your executives should have actual experience in the relative business.

GWRE decided they would embrace the Cloud, to the exclusion of actual insurance knowledge. How is that working out? Oh wait. Yeah -52%. The board needs to clean house, starting with the chairman.

CEO is out of his depth. The “Chief Product Manager” is by most accounts clueless about the insurance industry.

What a turd. But I guess this is to be expected with management constantly dumping.

jesus - it's total meltdown.

Au. Now I see why the stock was falling so rapidly. Obviously someone leaked news of Ryu's resignation.

But I did pay off the house and all other debt, put two people through college, and am still able to take very nice extended vacations all over the world. Spent 6 weeks in Asia a couple years ago.

I've made a small fortune off this stock. IPO was what? $15-$17. Sigh . . . if I had held everything instead if periodically taking profits I'd be able to retire early. Hindsight indeed.

There are a couple of things that bug me about this one.

The P/E is crazy high.
The insiders are dumping.

As GWRE grows its stand alone SAAS revenues and expands its use and offerings of data base information look for its growing relationship with VRSK to expand. New CFO at VRSK may be willing to seek a larger strategic acquisition with company like GWRE. Premium would have to be 40-50% for GWRE shareholders to accept IMHO
