United Educators (UE) has been named to the list of Ward’s 50® top performing insurance companies for 2024, ranking among the top 2% of the nation’s property-casualty companies.

Ward benchmarking, a business unit of Aon, is the leading operational and compensation benchmarking and best practices service for insurance companies. They analyze the financial performance of nearly 2,900 property-casualty insurance companies based in the United States. Each Ward’s 50® company passed all safety and consistency screens and achieved superior performance from 2019-23.

“Making the Ward’s list reflects our commitment to our member-owners,” said Rick Mills, UE’s President and CEO. “We combine robust liability coverage paired with careful financial management to help protect educational institutions.”

UE, a reciprocal risk retention group of about 1,600 member institutions, has received an A (Excellent) financial strength rating from AM Best every year since 1998. This year, in addition to the Ward’s honor, UE received recognition from Energage with the 2024 Top Workplaces USA award, The Washington Post Top Workplaces award, and a Top Workplace award for the financial services industry.
