More than 80 years ago, an American Volunteer Group joined the

The camp, named after Chinese Bridge, is an event aiming to
promote Chinese culture, and the “Flying Tigers” as well.
Over 70 teachers and students from multiple regions in the
United States have spent more than ten days in China, exploring the
historical memory of win-win cooperation between China and the
United States, experiencing the charm of traditional Chinese
culture, and bringing youthful vitality to the friendship between
China and the United States.
In Beijing, the American participants visited the Great Wall,
the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, and the Sino foreign Language
Exchange and Cooperation Center, as well as the China Central Radio
and Television Station.
In Yunnan, a series of significant sites marking the Flying
Tigers stories had been selected for the campers, like the Memorial
to the Over-The-Hump Flight, Kunming Flying Tigers Museum,
Southwest Associated University Museum, Memorial for Anti-Japanese
War in Western Yunnan, etc.
Furthermore, the American youth also visited some sites in
Yunnan for the unique experience of Yunnan’s charm, like Heshun
Ancient Town, Tengchong Volcano National Geological Park, Kunming
Old Street, Yunnan Ethnic Village, and Dounan Flower Market.

Chinese Martial arts, all left a deep impression on those young
people from the US.
In this series of activities, young people from China and the
United States made good friends and continued the Sino-US
relationship formed by the Flying Tigers.
At the closing ceremony, a review video of the summer camp
titled "Remembering the History of the Flying Tigers and Inheriting
the Friendship between China and the United States" was presented.
A lot of American young campers showcased Chinese cultural
achievements they learned in this summer camp, and shared those
interesting stories and insights during the event.
They all expressed that this summer camp was a fulfilling and
meaningful journey. During this journey, they saw the real and
multi-dimensional China, felt the enthusiasm and friendship of the
Chinese people, and recognized the importance of continuing the
friendship between China and the United States.
They will be civil ambassadors of friendship between China and
the United States, making their own contributions to the cause of
friendship between the two nations.
This summer camp responded to the Chinese President Xi's
expectations, built a bridge of friendship between the youth of
China and the United States.
In the next five years, more American youth will use this
