VECTORsgi, a Metavante company and leading provider of financial
transaction applications, and Orbograph, the leading supplier of
recognition technology for check imaging, today announced that
VECTOR:IQA(TM) (Image Quality Analysis) has been improved with
Orbograph's new Version 6.3. The company will showcase this
upgrade, which further enhances financial institutions' ability to
ensure the quality of images being exchanged, at the 10th Annual
CheckImage Conference. VECTOR:IQA has been selected by nearly 60
percent of the large banks that have purchased image quality and
usability analysis (IQUA) solutions, according to VECTORsgi and
Orbograph experts. The product now leverages Version 6.3's
performance improvements with enhanced quality detectors. Quality
tests show up to 100 percent performance improvements with the new
optimized algorithms. These streamlined processes can significantly
reduce a financial institution's hardware requirements.
Additionally, greater functionality was added for usability testing
with both field presence and field readability logic now available.
"The industry is experiencing rapid growth in image exchange and
the distributed capture of check images. Banks are realizing that
they need to take a proactive approach to ensure image quality and
usability," said Sydney Smith Hicks, president of VECTORsgi.
"VECTORsgi's alliance with Orbograph provides our customers with
quality assurance they can trust. Orbograph has demonstrated its
commitment to excellence and continues to define new standards for
image quality." Orbograph worked closely with industry leaders and
the Financial Services Technology Consortium (FSTC) to define
industry requirements. It has conducted testing across multiple
bank groups in conjunction with the FSTC to define the fields and
analyze the content most applicable to financial institutions of
all sizes. Orbograph developed Version 6.3 based on these tests and
requirements: the technology's image quality and usability
algorithms meet the needs of both retail and commercial check
imaging. "Orbograph's Version 6.3, integrated into VECTORsgi's
solution provides the breadth and depth of functionality and
reliability that our customers have grown to expect," said Joseph
Gregory, vice president of strategic sales at Orbograph. "Both
companies are dedicated to providing superior image quality in
order to protect depository and paying banks from the long range
cost impacts that can result from poor image quality. Benefits such
as these have earned VECTORsgi more image quality analysis
customers than all of its competition combined." About Orbograph
