EMCORE Enters Into OEM Agreement With Lake Shore Cryotronics to Supply Terahertz Systems and Components

EMCORE Corporation (Nasdaq:EMKR), a leading provider of compound
semiconductor-based components and subsystems for the fiber optic
and solar power markets, announced today that it has entered into
an OEM agreement with Lake Shore Cryotronics, Inc. to supply an OEM
version of the PB7200 Portable Frequency Domain Terahertz (THz)
Spectrometer.
Lake Shore is integrating this instrument into a new terahertz
frequency system targeted at research and characterization of novel
electronic and magnetic materials. Samples of these materials, held
at cryogenic temperatures and in high-magnetic fields, will be able
to be studied for the first time using continuous wave THz
spectroscopy.

the rapidly growing field of THz technology with a new class of
