Avmin Limited and Zambia Consolidated Copper Mines Limited ("ZCCM") have
confirmed that, subject to final contract, ZCCM has sold the Nkana Slag Dumps
and the Chambishi Cobalt and Acid plants to Avmin.  These assets are located
on the Zambian Copperbelt and are currently owned by ZCCM.   The final
purchase agreement is being concluded subject to the finalisation of various
legal, social and financial requirements.

After closure, Avmin will proceed with the construction of a new processing
facility for the slag dump material, which will be commissioned in about 30
months.  The agreement allows for the current employee complement associated
with these assets to be transferred to Avmin.
