AGM statement


Sir Aubrey Brocklebank, Non-Executive Chairman of Top Ten Holdings PLC will make
the following comments at the Group's Annual General Meeting to be held at 10.00
am today.

"Trading is in line with the Board's expectations. As anticipated we have seen a
reduction in gross income across the estate, but it remains difficult and too
early to discern any clear trends as the implementation of the smoking ban in
England has coincided with other confusing factors. However in Wales, where the
ban has been in force for 5 months, we have seen, recently, an improvement
compared to the impact experienced during the first few weeks.


The full implementation of the 2005 Gambling Act will occur on 1st September
from which we expect to benefit over time.

The sale of Boldon has been completed and other disposals remain on schedule. We
continue to review the estate in order to maximise value for shareholders."
