Company to Help Develop and Integrate Weapon Systems SAN DIEGO and MCLEAN, Va., Sept. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Science Applications International Corporation [NYSE: SAI] today announced it has been awarded a task order by the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) -- Crane Division to provide engineering, technical, and management services. The follow-on task order, awarded under the SeaPort-e contract, has a two-year base period of performance, three one-year options and a total value of more than $48 million if all options are exercised. Work will be performed at NSWC Crane and SAIC locations throughout Indiana. The Crane Division is one of five divisions of NSWC which maintains a full spectrum research, development, acquisition, test and evaluation, and support capability for surface warfare combat and weapon systems and hull, mechanical, and electrical systems. Under the task order, SAIC will continue to support the Small Arms Weapons Systems Division by helping develop, integrate and improve new and existing weapon systems. SAIC will also provide engineering, technical, and management support in the areas of scientific/engineering analysis, test and evaluation, field engineering, configuration management, and overhaul and maintenance.
