Acquisition of Matica Americas LLC 
 
 
Matica Plc ("Matica") announces that it has agreed with its US partner that from 
31 March 2009 Matica will take full control of Matica Americas LLC ("Matica 
Americas"). 
 
 
As announced on 16 July 2008, Matica Americas was initially formed as a 50-50 
Joint Venture between Matica and a US based partner. Its principal activity is 
to provide sales, service, parts, supplies and customer support to customers in 
the US, Canada and Latin America. 
 
 
Mr Sandro Camilleri, the Chief Executive Officer of Matica commented: 
 
 
"The Americas have emerged as the largest market for Matica's products and new 
markets such as gift cards are contributing to further growth across the region. 
The 100% ownership of Matica Americas will provide Matica with a strong base to 
take advantage of these growing markets and will provide us with a platform to 
establish close relationships with our end-user customers and dealers."

used for a wide range of plastic card personalisation including: credit and

mobile telephones, pre-paid telephone cards, membership cards, loyalty cards,

Company also produces a range of metal plate embossing systems for the
