DIRECTORS' INTERESTS IN SHARES
On 12 December 2003, 1,948 shares were purchased at 750p under the Company's All
Employee Share Ownership Scheme which total included 17 shares for each of Lord
Harris, Mr J Kitching and Mr C Sollesse and 16 shares for each of Mr M Harris
and Mr D Shapland.

On 16 December 2003, 50,000 shares were purchased for the Harris Ventures
Directors' Pension Scheme at 802.25p, which shares are deemed to be part of Lord
Harris' beneficial holding.

Also on 16 December 2003, 12,500 shares were purchased at 803.5p by
Mr M Toogood.

The beneficial shareholdings for these directors are now:
