HOUSTON, Feb. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- El Paso Pipeline Partners, L.P. (NYSE:EPB) today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Wyoming Interstate Company, Ltd. (WIC), has placed its Kanda lateral pipeline and accompanying mainline expansion in service. The new, 124-mile, 24-inch diameter lateral provides 400,000 dekatherms per day of capacity from the Uintah Basin to WIC's existing mainline in Sweetwater County, Wyoming. The WIC mainline system was also expanded with 20,600 horsepower of additional compression installed at the existing Wamsutter Compressor Station in Wyoming. Capital costs of the project total $189 million.
