I did some advertising for Toyota for years, they never put out an ad for the Tacoma. Every other model had marketing specific to it. Why on earth would they fuck it up.

I was already annoyed by the way they beefed up the body for no other reason than to make it look bigger. Leave the Tundra for the red necks. Keep the Tacoma for people that love it.

Global margin call is why you can't order parts! Woke = Broke!

Not having V6 or V8 option is going to kill the Tacoma sales!

Toyota to Invest Additional $90 Million in Two U.S. Manufacturing Plants

Toyota Motor Corp. said Friday it plans to spend an additional $90 million on two of its U.S. manufacturing facilities.

About $73 million will go toward its Toyota West Virginia plant and $17 million will be invested in its Toyota Tennessee plant.

In November, the auto maker said it would invest $240 million in its West Virginia facility to add a dedicated production line for hybrid transaxles. In total, the company has spent more than $2 billion on the plant so far, it said.

With the new investment, Toyota plans to increase its hybrid transaxle production capacity to 600,000 units per year, and assemble roughly 120,000 rear-motor stators, one of the key components in electric motors.

The investment in its Tennessee plant, where parts for its Toyota and Lexus vehicles in North America are made, will help increase the facility's capacity to cast hybrid transaxle cases and housings to 1.3 million per year from 1 million. The company's total commitment to the location to date is $389 million, it said.

Toyota plans to offer an electrified option across its entire lineup of Toyota and Lexus vehicles by 2025, the company has said.

The finance lady was very pleasant but ended surly when faced with: 1. my having two other trade-in quotes more than 120% and 140% higher than Toyota of xxxxxxx and 2. with 785-800 credit, I qualified for the Toyotathon 0% financing that runs to Jan 3rd. Come to think of it, Tony feigned no knowledge of this.

So with both, Tony polite and a bit surly/disgusted finance lady, it struck me distinctly as, "we can't make big money on you. See ya later. Next!"

I guess it is the times.

Oh, I spoke to a guy at my warehouse this morning and he chimed in, "that Toyota has a lousy reputation for trade ins. I hate them!" This was quite a revelation and put me at considerable ease. That my experience was nothing to internalize, it's just that kind of shop.

Toyota Motor Corp $TM Might Have More Pain Before Gain

Today, leading automobile stock, Toyota Motor Corp (NYSE:TM), is trading lower by $2.98 to $128.32 a share. The stock has made lower highs on the chart since January 2018 when the stock traded as high as $140.99 a share. The current chart pattern will usually signal lower prices ahead for the stock. Traders and investors must now watch the $120.00 area for the next important support level. This is where the 200-week moving average is located and should serve as major support when tested.
