Home care agency opens Columbia location to serve Boone, Callaway, Cole, Howard, Osage and other Mid-Missouri counties in Show-Me State

Village Caregiving, one of the largest, privately-owned home care agencies in the U.S., today announced it is opening a new location in Columbia, Mo., marking its entry into the state. With the addition of Missouri, the company expands its nationwide presence to 20 states. Already, the company’s 3,000 caregivers serve more than 5,000 adults, including seniors and their families, across the United States with quality, non-medical support, from light housework and hygiene assistance to companionship and transportation.

“With this expansion, we’re proud to bring our model of quality, compassionate care to more seniors, veterans and families in America,” said Jeff Stevens, co-founder and CEO, Village Caregiving. “We know there’s an increasing need for reliable, at-home support and we hope to be a resource that Missourians can turn to.”

Village Caregiving’s new Columbia location will serve seniors, veterans and families in Boone, Callaway, Cole, Howard, Osage as well as other counties in Mid-Missouri.

“Village Caregiving is ready to fill an important need, providing the kind of care and comfort that many families in Mid-Missouri are seeking for their loved ones,” said Beth Bowles, Executive Director of Village Caregiving’s Columbia office.

Like the rest of the United States, Missouri’s senior population is growing rapidly with nearly 1.1 million people ages 60 years or older, according to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS). In DHSS’ State Plan on Aging, 2024-2027 report, it notes that the state’s 65+ population is also on track to outnumber the under-18 population within the next 10 to 15 years, which is similar to the nationwide trend.

Earlier this year, Village Caregiving opened seven other locations: Batesville, Evansville and South Bend, Ind.; Duluth and Rochester, Minn.; Zanesville, Ohio; and Paducah, Ky.
