California pilot converts to commercial roll out after reducing Flying J's electric energy consumption by 8.78% SEATTLE, WA, Oct. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- MicroPlanet, (MP:TSXV & MCTYF:OTC) a clean technology, energy conservation company, announced today that Flying J Inc. has placed an order to install MicroPlanet's commercial 3-Phase voltage management systems in its travel plazas and fuel stops located in North America, to save energy and reduce expenses. The first 3 systems will be installed in early 2009, followed by an additional 7 locations when the testing and training procedures are accepted by Flying J. The order is valued at approximately $300,000 US. Flying J conducted a pilot program over a six month period to test the effectiveness of MicroPlanet voltage management products at one of its facilities in California. The results of the pilot indicated the MicroPlanet voltage management technology will reduce kWh consumption at their facilities an average of 8.78%.
