Prime Meridian Appoints CFO and Grants Stock Options

Prime Meridian Resources Corp (TSX VENTURE:PMR) (FRANKFURT:DYD) ("Prime
Meridian") is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert Cowper as Chief
Financial Officer of the Company. Mr. Cowper is a Chartered Accountant and has
served as the Chief Financial Officer of a TSX listed junior oil and gas company
and as a research analyst for Investment Banking firms.


Prime Meridian also announces the grant of 975,000 incentive stock options to
directors and officers of the company to purchase up to 975,000 common shares in
the capital stock of the company. The options are exercisable at a price of
$0.16 and will expire on January 25, 2013.
