Merc Grants Stock Options

Merc International Minerals Inc. ("Merc" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:MRK)
announces it has granted an aggregate of 3,595,000 options to directors,
officers and consultants of the Company. Each option entitles the holder to
acquire one Merc common share at an exercise price of $0.345 until March 9,
2014.
