TSX-V: AWS
VANCOUVER, Sept. 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ - Robert L. Card, President of Arrowstar Resources
Ltd., ("Arrowstar" or the "Company") (TSXV: AWS), is pleased to
report that the Company has initiated the ground magnetics survey
on its Roberts Lake Iron Ore property in Ungava, Quebec. The Company has engaged Geotronics
Consulting Inc., of Surrey, BC,
Canada, under the direction of
David G. Mark, P.Geo. The crew
and equipment are moving to the property and scheduled to begin
work this coming week. This is the next step in our
exploration program on the Roberts Lake property
The size of the survey is estimated at 35 lines
at 100 metre spacing by 4km which is 140 km with additional 50m
spacing around the historically surveyed high anomalies for another
35 km to make a total of 175 kms. The Magnetic survey is
designed to highlight areas of concentrated magnetite and magnetic
iron silicates. This will assist in the selection of the best
drill sites for a proposed diamond drill program. The Company
plans to drill the magnetic highs on the property. The
program is a follow up to the previous sampling program announced
July 31, 2012, wherein the Company
announced the discovery of values up to 63.8% iron in 24
samples.
Previous work on the property under the
direction of Phillip Thomas, the
Company's Director and Vice-President of Exploration, has
encountered excellent showings of magnetite. Further tests
have confirmed that the magnetite bearing material is amenable to a
dry beneficiation process to yield a shippable concentrate
acceptable to users.
