Limited (CTC, CTC.a) is proud to announce that it has been included
on the 2012 Maclean's/Sustainalytics list of the 50 Most Socially
Responsible Companies in Canada.
Now in its fifth year, companies are selected on the basis of
their performance across a broad range of environmental, social,
and governance (ESG) indicators tracked by Sustainalytics, a global
leader in independent sustainability research. The companies
selected also rank at the top of their respective peer groups in
Sustainalytics' Global Platform. Published annually, the Top

Maclean's Magazine, which is available on newsstands today.
This honour adds to a growing list of acknowledgments and awards
bestowed upon Canadian Tire for programs and performance related to
business sustainability and corporate social responsibility.
Last week, the company was recognized by Corporate Knights as one
of the Best 50 Corporate Citizens in Canada. Canadian Tire's business
sustainability strategy and performance were recognized earlier in
the year with the GLOBE Award for Best Green Retailing Practices,
which is considered to be the most high-profile national awards
series of its kind. The company was also added to the STOXX Global
ESG Leaders Index family and is the only Canadian retailer
included.
For 90 years and as one of Canada's most trusted companies, Canadian Tire

environment, the community and in business. This commitment
is integrated into Canadian Tire's brand, corporate values,
operations and business strategy and is guided by the overarching
