CHELMSFORD, Mass., March 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Airvana, Inc.
(Nasdaq: AIRV) will use the upcoming International CTIA Wireless
2010 event (booth # 2023), taking place March 23-25 in Las
Vegas, Nev., to showcase the impact of evolving femtocell
technology on mobile operators, businesses and families.
Exciting product demonstrations will highlight how emerging
femtocell applications can keep today's busy families more
connected and showcase the unique capacity and performance
capabilities of the HubBub™ Femtocell.
In addition, Airvana executives will address conference
attendees and share their industry expertise in dealing with issues
such as offload, mobile broadband and the business case for
femtocells as members of the Femto Forum's the Femtozone and as
participants in the CDMA Development Group's (CDG) 3G CDMA Forum
and the pre-show seminar series "Wireless Law, Policy and
Technology."
Attendees visiting Airvana's booth at International CTIA
Wireless 2010 will witness:
The Hall is Alive, with the Sounds of Femtos
Airvana has created a "Femtocell Orchestra" powered by the
company's HubBub UMTS High Capacity Femtocell. Sixteen
handsets are connected to Airvana's enterprise femtocell,
simultaneously broadcasting music and spoken word content.
This creative demonstration highlights the evolution of
Airvana's femtocell technology to address the business need for
high capacity, high performance femtocells.
The "Femtocell Family Tablet"
The concept of the "connected digital home" that Airvana
introduced at last year's event has evolved to showcase the value
of femtocells beyond basic indoor coverage. Visitors to the
booth will see how a femtocell-connected tablet-based touch-screen
application portal can keep today's busy family connected. The
"femtocell family tablet" offers a range of messaging, multimedia
and social networking services designed to keep the family
'location aware' and fully connected. An Android-based mobile phone
app, operating on the Google Nexus One device, will even show how
family members can remotely interact with the home network through
the family tablet and the HubBub femtocell.
EV-DO: Rev B and Beyond
Airvana will be showing its latest EV-DO macro technology
including demonstrations of EV-DO Rev B as well as the analytic
tools the company uses to identify and measure the Network Load
Multiplier effect for smartphones on the macro network. Airvana
experts will discuss the impact of increased functionality and
performance of smartphones, coupled with significantly expanding
data usage and strategies operators can employ today to mitigate
the growing strain on today's networks.
