               ORIENTROSE 2 PLC ("Orientrose 2" or the "Company")
                               PLACING OF SHARES
                            SIGNIFICANT SHAREHOLDING

The Board of Orientrose 2 announces that on 18 August 2004 the Company, through
its broker Seymour Pierce Ellis Limited, placed 11,000,000 new Ordinary Shares
of 1p each (the "Shares") for 4p each. Application will be made for the Shares 
to be admitted to trading on AIM.

Orient Rose 2 has been informed that Griffin Group Plc, following the disposal
of 3,750,000 Ordinary Shares in the Company, as at today's date, now hold
3,750,000 Ordinary Shares, representing 8.16% of the issued share capital.
