FARMINGDALE, N.Y., Nov. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Cemtrex Inc. (OTC:CTEX) announced that it has set up a division for developing a portfolio of diversified international CDM (Clean Development Mechanism) projects for marketing carbon credits. The Company will offer services that include project development, providing technology and project financing, development of CDM methodologies, project registration and approval, and marketing of carbon credits or certified emission reductions (CERs). The Clean Development Mechanism is one of the three so-called flexible mechanisms of the Kyoto Protocol. These mechanisms are designed to make it easier and cheaper for industrialized countries to meet the greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction targets that they agreed to under the Protocol. The CERs can be traded in tons of carbon dioxide equivalents by governments and companies in developed countries to meet their reductions commitments under the Kyoto Protocol. "Through this new division, we would offer services in countries such as India, China, and Mexico and in the Middle East in projects requiring reductions of nitrous oxide, methane, perfluorocarbons, hydrofluorocarbons, and carbon dioxide," said Mr. Aron Govil, President & CEO of Cemtrex. Cemtrex is engaged in manufacturing and selling the most advanced and custom-engineered equipment and systems for clean energy and emission monitoring markets. The Company's products are sold to power plants, refineries, chemical plants, cement plants and other industries, including federal and state governmental agencies.
